LEGO set 31129 never faile to amaze me with its versatility, and I am gradually inching towards building over 10 Transformers using this set!
\Before this project Batwing, LEGO set above was used to build "The Ark" (video tutorial below)
ABOUT PROJECT BATWING
All my Transformers built using LEGO 31129 were primarily in orange color, which is expected since most of the parts from the set are orange.
So one fine day, I noticed the number of black parts from the set seemed substantial too. Noticing some parts were curvy as well, so a Batwing immediate popped up in my brain.
The wing design is the hardest part to complete and it's not about their aesthetics!
The tail fins were last to be built.
TRANSFORM!
The pegged arms in vehicle mode require a bit of precision handling.
ROBOT MODE
90% of the project was completed within a week! But I was stumped on how to connect both wings in robot mode. After a few unsuccessful attempts, I decided to put it aside for 2 more weeks!
