You want a combiner? Here you go!
RECAP
LEGO set 31129: Majestic Tiger is the granddaddy of all Creator sets , to me that is. Released in the year 2022, It's the first BIG set I used to build LEGO Transformers and I've made almost 20 !
I've covered so many alternate modes and popular Transformers characters using this set ... from Dinobot Grimlock (above) , to Beast Wars Megatron and Depthcharge.
ABOUT PROJECT JET-TANK COMBINER
I've made Transformers with tank and jet modes using set 31129 before. What next? At first I thought.... Misfire ! Then I changed my mind since prior to this project, 31129 was used to build TF:One Starscream (a Cybertronian jet plane).
Finally...... as a compromise.. this combiner is born! A Transformer that comprised of both a tank and a jet plane combined!
TANK MODE
The final finishing touch to this project is a practical one. The tank sides (forming robot legs) tend to sag when I picked up this vehicle. So I applied a hinged mechanism to secure them in place.
JET PLANE MODE
TRANSFORM!
G1 Transformers fans should notice that I am taking inspiration from a Transformer subgroup called Duocons, where 2 vehicles merged to form the robot mode. (like Flywheels , below)
