Sentinel Prime (Transformers: One) , alternative built of LEGO Creator 31166: Beautiful Horse

Shall I say this is a prime-al horse?

ABOUT TRANSFORMERS:ONE

Transformers:One aka TF:ONE movie is an animated Transformers movie that was shown in 2024 in cinemas worldwide. The movie focused on early days of major G1 Transformers leaders,Optimus Prime and Megatro,  in  their more innocent solar cycles before they're thrusted into the limelight .

And of course... Bumblebee... a beloved Transformers character (known as B-127 in TF:One), which I already built using LEGO set 10338 last year (video below)

ABOUT  PROJECT SENTINEL PRIME

This project is based on Sentinel Prime, a major hero-turned-villain in TF:One movie.  Sentinel Prime turned into a space cruiser and I tried my best to replicate both his vehicle and robot  just like in the movie.

Guess what are the bits jutting out from underneath the nosecone!

TRANSFORM!

Remove gun from the center of the jet mode

I took inspiration from one of the official Sentinel Prime toy where his nosecone halves ended up becoming robot arms.

ROBOT MODE

The thighs used to be primarily white with rounded sides... but the white rounded bricks has hollowed bottom and this caused the technic axle to sink deeper, causing loose connections.  So I'm forced to use a tan colored tile instead as a substitute.

And the white rounded bricks are delegated to the wings instead.

Ideally, the nosecone tip should fold 180 degrees nicely to form the forearms. Too bad the faux windshield foiled that!

The actual robot mode is really chunky and tall and I can't believe the photos of him right here showed him to be stout instead. weird optical illusion.

The most challenging part in designing this creation was definitely the wings.. or to be precise .... the connection to the wings on the body.

WITH GUN

Reverse Murphy's Law struck me here. (its a good thing!), I was having problem building a gun that could both be pegged onto the jet mode, and also be held by his hand.    While experimenting around... I discovered  there's no need for the grip to be pegged to the hands.... it simply slide in securely!
