I have a confession...
I'm neither a fan of bikes (realstic or fictional) nor a casual fan of animes. And this project here using LEGO set 10338: Bumblebee is purely and opportunistic one! So there!
And prior to this project, I made the following Transformer using LEGO set 10338 (below)
ABOUT PROJECT KANEDA'S BIKE
Akira is an anime/film from the year 1988 with very deep storyline about the dystopian future. I remembered watching it just once as a child from rented video cassette.
Years later... I discovered that when this film was mentioned by netizens, it's memorable bike /chase scene came into the picture. The bike was used by one of the protagonist, Kaneda in the epic scenes.
I've made many Transformers using LEGO 10338, and before I build even more... I've decided to built Kaneda's bike as a form of "relaxation" , for the lack of better words!
At the beginning of this project, me preferring symmetry initially assumed the bike is symmetrical as well. After a few days of building, I was kinda shocked to discover the other side of the like looks ..... different!
