RECAP
LEGO ser 31152: Space Astronaut was released last year (2024) and this year, I reached a milestone of building more than 10 Transformers using the set! However, the most recent creation I made using this set was ED-209 mech (from Robocop movie) , not a Transformer.
ABOUT PROJECT TRANSFORMER BULL/TANTRUM
This creation was inspired by Tantrum , a character from G1 Transformers cartoon series. Tantrum is a member of subgroup Predacon from evil Decepticons faction. Predacon consisted of robots that turned into mechanical version of earthen wild animals.
In the Transformers universe, Predacons can merge to become super robot called Predaking, with Tantrum forming the super robot leg. My LEGO Tantrum here however, is a lone wolf and will not have this ability. Sorry folks!
I MADE LEGO PREDAKING BEFORE!
Almost 20 years ago , long before this blog exists, I built team Predacons that can merge into Predaking! But each individual animals did not have robot modes though.
I wasn't so sure what made me start this project. It's probably decided after I found out I only made one Transformer with animal mode using set 31152. So here we arem another beastie!
While building his head, when I finally nailed his snout and horns...... I was euphoric !
Not the most flattering photo of his side profile! His front legs looked skinny coz their color tone blended into the background!
His head can be tilted quite high or lowered to graze on the grassland.
TRANSFORM!
Step 1: Turn him belly and tickle to disarm him.
ROBOT MODE
With a head this big, he looks like a preteen bot with a tantrum to boot.
ACTION POSES
One of the finishing touch to this creation was redesigning his heel , extended by a stud longer via rounded 1x2 plates,for a much stable action poses you see here.
The gun can be modified to be held using his right hand.
