I've taken about 2 days over the last weekend to complete this MOC. Just like most of my LEGO-formers , It's fully transformable into a space jet without separation of parts.
Trivia:
- Even though I'm happy to see many bracket parts at my disposal... but the set offered me pretty minimal numbers of basic plates (the garden variety 1 x 4 or 1 x 6 plates)... thats why I have to be very frugal in building the mech legs and resorted to using technic beams to form the thighs.
- The balljoints forming the knees is a bit wobbly and compounded by the jet cockpit folded to the back of this mech , limiting it's stabiliy . I have to lean him against the wall during photoshoot for some action poses.
- This is the first LEGO-former I made using parts from a single official LEGO set. Actually I intended to merge this set with 70701 Swarm Interceptor and crank something up. But after evaluating the parts from set 70707 at a glance... it seemed to offer good selection of parts to get my started , I guess. So, finally this MOC is born!
