Quickie of the Week #22: No ball joints? No Problem!

During the long Chinese New Year holidays (which will officially end soon tomorrow aka Chap Goh Mei)  , I took the chance to clear my  backlogs of to-built list, which are to MOC  robots/mechas from last year's LEGO sets I bought , especially Creators.

Quickie of the Week #20: Work in progress and then some

Well it's been quite a while since I update my blog. Anyway, I'm actively indulging in MOCing and LEGO related activities  almost everyday , but on a shorter duration daily. This  spurred me to start a facebook page (link below)  where I can quickly share with you all my progress and noteworthy stuff in my LEGO MOCing process. Do give me a push and like my page!

Project Trainformer

Here is how the train cockpit folds down to become the spaceship mode nosecone half. There are 2 types of hinged mechanism here:

1) The conventional one using technic brick with holes and pins behind the trainhead. (to connect to the train body)

2) The front using c-clips + bar (also known as lightsaber =)

Quickie of the Week #18: Spotlight on LEGO Victory Leo

Transformers: Victory Series started it's run on my local TV station back in 1991 (or 1992?) As a 13 years old kid, I was totally blown away by various characters inside and their multitudes of abilities . ( I remembered doodling Road Caesar on a piece of paper during my class / science lab session).

Quickie of the Week #17: Upcoming MOCs sneakpeek

I'm very sorry not to update my blog as often as I could... that's coz I spent the last 4 months focusing my entire  leisure*  time building one of my favorite Transformers Combiner.

*That includes late nites when the lil one was tucked in to bed, and scraps of time (5-10 minutes) before I left for work.

I'm sure seasoned Transformers fans would know what I'm building this time =)

Quickie of the Week #14: 31033 leftover parts creation

Usually when I'm done building one of the alternate design from a Creator set, I lumped the leftover parts together by connecting them randomly into a thingamagic and put it asid, but for set 31033, this is too much...

Quickie of the Week #9: Work in Progress / design highlights

Let's start with these common pieces =)

The pieces above are common hinged plates with frictions. (let's call them 1-finger hinge and 2-finger hinge respectively).

In my current project, I am not using them as hinges however...
