LEGO Rodimus Prime Part 2 of 3: Transformation to base mode

If you're new here, do check out Part 1 first.

Previously ,I will publish the transformation photos of my MOCs/ LEGO Creations between each modes.  This process was daunting to say the least...  handpicking the best photos to be compiled in clear sequence of transformation.  For this Rodimus.. I will do away will all that. Instead, I will show a video of how I transform him. (below)

If you're new in this post, do start from Part 1 first.   Done? Great! Now we shall complete transformation of Arcane's vehicle mode to another mode.

The arrow is pointing at connection points for both halves of the crane. You will notice a blue technic pin on one half that connects to a technic hole on another half.

Towmecha TM-6656 , Highway Defender!

Prologue

Afters years of resisting social media (read: no Facebook account), I managed to focus on doing the things I like with minimal interruptions (so it seems). But this came at the expense of not getting much exposure . This year  I made a point to mingle around more because it's getting pretty lonely here .

I managed to join a few local AFOL groups and I am enlightened with the passion all over, especially on fellow MOCers and collectors of vintage sets. So this was brought to my attention again....

Yes.... my very first LEGO set as a kid! I'm not sure if having a different "first LEGO set" will change my subsequent destiny much , but this set 6656 is the seed that started it all.

While remisnicing the good "young" times, a bulb just lighted up on top of my head....

LEGO 70707 Eradicator Mech Alternate Mode

Thic MOC is made from the parts from set 70707 Eradicator Mech . Not only that.... the parts were taken from ONLY the white mech ,leaving the other 2 critters untouched. Actually I plan to make full use of all the parts from this set, but was "intercepted" during disassembly by my spouse to leave the critters alone coz she liked 'em. Ah well.. that's less 100 parts for me to utilise I guess.

I've taken about 2 days over the last weekend to complete this MOC. Just like most of my LEGO-formers , It's fully transformable into a space jet without separation of parts.

LEGO Thunder Wingster (Creator Thunder Wings + Highway Speedster)

This is my second attempt in trying to build transformable mechs/robots from official LEGO sets (Kai Rotormech being the first).  This time around, I'm using two Creator sets , namely 31008 Thunder Wings and 31006 Highway Speedster (below)

LEGO Duobot Instructions

Woah... there's alot on my plate these days.. hobby-wise. Few weeks ago I published LEGO Duobot, minions for my LEGO Alphaplex/Metroplex and was trying to find time to compile its instructions. Well to be honest I got too preoccupied with indulging myself of various 2013 sets that I fancy. I wish to faster unbox them, enjoyed building their main models and finally reuse the parts for something even more "noble".

OK let's move on to the instructions...

LEGO Predaking Instruction Part 5 - Razorclaw

In this final month of the year, I'm lowering my gear and taking it easy, work-wise. Thanks to my state-only public holiday (King's birthday) today.. I am able to have a day off to chill. After some fun MOC-ing since last Thursday... I almost forgot I have one more "obligation" to fulfil... which is posting this entry.

Razorclaw , the leader of Predacons, is a mecha-Lion, and forms the body for combiner Predaking.

For the previous 4 instructions for  the other Predacons, click the link below:

And let's move to the leader ,Razorclaw.. shall we?

LEGO "Weaponizer" Misfire complete gallery

Origins

Misfire  is a targetmaster Decepticon binary bonded with Aimless , a nebulan "human-like" companion that transforms to become his rifle. Although he often misses than hits... as long as he's firing on everything and anything in the battlefield, he's worthy enough to serve as a Decepticon,so they said.

HOWEVER.... when he finally misplaced his weapon (aka his living, breathing companion) in a planet somewhere.., literally condemning the poor soul to his doom, Misfire was  court-martialled for gross negligence.  The punishment would be that he no longer is allowed to carry any weapons at all risking him losing them again. But this is not the end of his clumsy military career. He was given a chance to redeem himself by undergoing extensive weaponization upgrades.. allowing weapons  to permanently bonded to his mechanical body..... so finally....

LEGO Predaking Instruction Part 4 - Divebomb

How time flies!

24 hour per day aint enuff for me! I'm in the news again with article pertaining to the firm I'm working in (or to be precise.. a very ambitious e-learning online game). The already mounting pressure is hitting boiling point. Before I forget that I actually have a blog to update, let me just dump a bunch of Divebomb instructions here.

ps: I'm in the midst of finalizing a new MOC (which took me just a few days to reach 90% completion). Its G1, its red and its possibly my favorite aerial-based transformer vehicle from G1 era. =)

LEGO Predaking Instruction Part 3 - Rampage

I'm late I'm late I'm late so sorry for being behind schedule............! I can't believe time flies.   I spent the last 2 weeks working everyday (and every other nights) and things have been shifted to high gear when a local press covered some projects in my  firm , and the article was published. I'm helming the programming part of this ambitious web project which is a nightmare to code indeed. (and the constantly ringing phones simply threw my focus away. [Note to self: ask boss to provide soundproof  room for me in the future] ).

Every time I drove past cool looking vehicles like a crane or some trucks or even a milkvan , I would think "oh boy how I wanna LEGO-fy this beast when I'm free".  Ok ok.. a milk carrying minivan is not actually beastly but it would be cool one day to make a LEGO Transformer out of it. :)

Ok thats enuff ramblings for now. I think I'll stop now with my mild "rampaging".

On to the actual Rampage...

LEGO Predaking Instructions Part 2 - Tantrum

I make it a point to update my blog with new entries at least once a fortnite.. but for Predaking Instruction... once a week to keep the momentum going. However... work got the better of me (I wear many, many hats in the firm I'm working). It's Saturday morning when I'm preparing this entry. Afterward I'll be zipping off to work again to rush for the all important deadline.

New here? Click below to view Part 1 first.

Part 2 here I come!

^ Don't just follow my instruction as-is. He deserves an updated design with newer parts. Some cheese slopes here and there would do magic. And that's the point I did not provide the parts list for my instructions. You just gotta  improvise as you go along. Hope you guys understand my intention :)

LEGO "Fall of Cybertron" Snapdragon

In my early years of MOCing... I set sight on building Snapdragon because he's one of my favorite Transformers Triple Changer. Back then, I didn't have much parts to get started, so that MOC end up having different color than it's original toy (below).  So the time have come for me to improve him because I can't bear to see him in yellow anymore.

In the original toy, Snapdragon is a Headmaster triple changer that transforms between a jet , dragon and finally a robot. The headmaster companion is a minifigure that transform into Snapdragon's robot head and beast head as well. However, due to issues pertaining the head-size ratio , I've decided to build him not as a headmaster Transformer, but maybe his incarnation from "Fall of Cybertron" era.

For those who wanted to see nothing but photos and more photos.. you have come to the right place. Let's go!

Technobots Lightspeed Instructions Part 1: Warming-up with the arms

Lightspeed is part of my highly ambitious LEGO combiners project back in 2008 (mocpages entry here). I had dismantled the gang except him and Afterburner: both remained displayed in my living room till today.

Click below to know more about Lightspeed in the history of Transformers:

Before I proceed with the instructions, he deserves a new set of clearer photos.
