LEGO 71718 alternate build: Transformer Manta Ray

 

I contemplated long and hard before deciding to start this project about a month ago.

In official Transformers lore, Vector Prime is  one of the 13 Primes, and he's appointed to be the guardian of space and time. He is also a prominent characters in Transformers: Cybertron series (Galaxy Force in Japanese version)  shown in the early 2000s.

LEGO set 71718 offered me many claw and sloped parts, so various types of animals can be built with it.

This project was started about 2 months ago (end of January 2021) out of boredom, using set 71718.

I must say, this is  my favorite 2020 LEGO set so far, when it comes to best-bang-for-buck factor and abundance of many cool parts to build a Transformer from.
