I must say, this is my favorite 2020 LEGO set so far, when it comes to best-bang-for-buck factor and abundance of many cool parts to build a Transformer from.
My initially idea was to build a TF resembling Deathsaurus (from Japanese Transformer:victory series), since the official dragon mode already have the wings ready to be used with minimal modifications.
I retained the official dragon head design coz it looked so cool , and I'm lazy to attempt building a different head.
One thing I have given up trying was to give him an extra pair of arms, coz I have run out of hinges to do so!
TRANSFORM!
My favorite part of the design process: concealing the robot head as part of the streamlined dragon neck with gold trimmings.
ROBOT MODE
The chunky-looking thighs are the result from me trying to strengthen the pelvic joints with brackets. Without them, they popped of easily during handling.
Note the double jointed elbows, which is a rarity in my LEGO TF.
