Note to self: It's not a dragon!
LEGO Creator 31163: Playful Cat was released last year (2025) and so far I have made a few Transformers using this set, with the most recent one being Megatron (below)
ABOUT PROJECT WYVERN TRANSFORMER
Last month, I published my first Pokemon Transformer ! And it was meant to be a winged armless dragon aka Wyvern... but I eventually turned it into Charizard Transformer (below)
The frictional joints found from the Cute Bunny set used to built Charizard TF above are also found in Playful cat as well, and there are decent number of sloped pieces to build wings too. A light bulb just appeared on top of my head. So there.
I started this project by building the beast legs first in hope to replicate the shaping of Charizard TF's feet especially .... but failed. Then I found out things need not be so complicated at all. Simply used a few sloped pieces and that's all to it!
The "fun" part in designing this creature that almost prolonged the project was how do I go about apply the orange slopes to form the the wings. I ended up with criss-cross patterns and hope you'll love my final decision.
