I had forgotten this Megatron existed!!
PROLOGUE
LEGO set 31121: Crocodile was released in the year 2021 and I bought it a year later to start my LEGO Transformers journey using it.
Co-incidentally..... many of the Transformers I able to produce using the set above were Decepticon leaders to some capacity from various Transformers series.... From the original G1 series to Transformers: Prime too!
ABOUT THIS PROJECT
This project is a fan service , suggested by one of my biggest supporter. After he suggested Megatron from Energon series (aired in early 2000s), I was kinda suprised because I had totally forgotten about the existence of this Megatron. And I absolutely understand why. He's one of the ugliest Megatron from all of Transformers continuities! This Megatron turned into fat flying machine with goose-like head as nosecone!
Anyhoo.... after checking out video reviews of Energon Megatron's toys (both the original and recent ones).. I decided to give him a shot.
Initially I did not plan to build the pink cannons feature, but eventually do so after discovering there were many leftover ball joints for me to use, and availability of pink and orange parts to make them stand out.
The clawed wing tips were finishing touches to this project.
One of my frustrations was aligning both wings to be symmetrical from all angles , as close as possible to the original toy of Megatron (slightly being down halfway) . This is quite a challenge since each wing is powered by 2 ball joints.
And trying hard to ensure the cannons are parallel too!
