A lil Recap!
LEGO Creator set 31090: Underwater robot was released last year in 2019, and I had built two Transformers using it (one at a time of course!). Both were named BumbleSea v1 and v2.
Version 1 was pretty fragile on the legs with poorly designed proportions. Can't see BumbleSea v1 video above? Click here please.
Version 2 , with improved the overall proportions, by sacrificing the usage of rounded windshield. Can't see BumbleSea v2 video above? Click here please.
AND NOW, ON TO VERSION 3!
This latest version was a product of me fiddling with the yellow curved arch parts, imagining them as windshield frame.
This new version also make use of round turntable parts that's integral to his transformation.
The biggest challenge in this project was designing the odd-numbered studs width of the vehicle rear , where the tailfin is resting on.
TRANSFORMATION
Trivia: Most of my LEGO TF from official sets have simple transformation steps, requiring few photos to show them. Well this guy here is a "bit" more complicated , demanding more photo steps than usual.
