Me Grimlock go Medieval!
ABOUT GRIMLOCK
Grimlock is the leader of team Dinobots, and he turns into a T.rex. Over the years, I've made quite a few Grimlocks using official LEGO sets. Click here to view them. The most recent Grimlock prior to this project was made using LEGO set 31151 (below)
ABOUT THIS PROJECT
This project was started thanks to Grimlock using set 31151 above. I wanted to move on and dismantle that Grimlock and build another Transformers with the set. But before I do so.. I must build another Grimlock so that I can snap photos of them side by side.
His dino feet are achilles heels for this creation. The claws have a tendency to pop out during mid-transformation.

TRANSFORM!
This Grimlock has the most transformation steps compared to my previous LEGO Grimlocks. However... most steps are optimized and necessary.
Unlatch tail halves
Fold the clawed hinges at the side of waist up. Then rotate the flanks to form the chest.
Fold the clawed hinges back to the side again.
ROBOT MODE
Original G1 Grimlock wore red pants. This one has red chest.
He's almost devoid of kibbles on his back!
