I made another first!
This is LEGO 10338 Alternate Build, transforming the Bumblebee set into Optimus Prime from IDW Comics War Within series
PROLOGUE
This is my first LEGO Transformer character from
The War Within
comic series by IDW publishing. This comics featured Optimus Prime in his Cybertronian mode (below) and oh boy... does he has huge wheels!!
And talking about big wheels...... obviously the best LEGO set to build him is 10338: Bumblebee. Prior to project WW Prime here, I used the Bee set to build Dragon Megatron (below).
WW PRIME VEHICLE MODE
Even though I didn't like the bulky shoulders next to the windshield, at one point I tried to replicate that. Then I found out I must undo tthis design in favor of securing the front and back half of the vehicles.
His followed up vehicle rear almost seemed like he could be a pickup truck or, or should be specific.... Kup, another Transformer character older than Prime.!
There are just a handful of small round pieces from set 10338 , and I used up almost all of them to build the exhaust pipes.
I prefer the gun mounted om top rather than tucked to the back of his vehicle mode.
