Sacred trio project is finally complete!
This is LEGO 31151 Alternate Build / MOC, turning the T.Rex set into Dinobot Grimlock from G1 Transformers cartoon.
PROLOGUE
LEGO set 31151 was released last year in 2024, and I won the set from a
competition in eurobricks.com early this year.
Main models of this set are T.rex, Pteranodon and Triceratops.
And these creatures are the alternate modes for 3 of the 5 Dinobots,
a team of robots from G1 `Transformers cartoon series. So, my
primary aim using this set is to build these 3 Dinobots. And so it's
finally completed! Before project Grimlock , this set
was used to build a Tank Transformer (video below)
Grimlock is the leader of team Dinobots, and he turns into a T.rex. Over the
years, I've made quite a few Grimlocks using official LEGO sets.

His puny dino arms were last to be built.
for both the tail halves to be as close as possible to each other with
minimal gap, they must be precisely angled on his dino butt.
You might notice his tail is kinda blunt even though I can make them sharper.
There's a logical reason for this . And not it's not for child-proof
purpose!
TRANSFORM!
The tail halves are folded neatly to the back of the robot legs. Any more longer and it will buckle.
The dino arms can either be folded to his back, or to rest on his chest. I prefers the former as shown in photos above.
ROBOT MODE
Original G1 Grimlock has red pants. What a pleasant co-incidence
that LEGO set 31151 contains a handful of reddish parts for me to apply
red pants for my creation here!
WITH GUN
The gun handle can be rotated to fit either hand

LAST MINUTE ENHANCEMENTS!
When I thought everything is finalized , with video, photos above
and all... I started to feel something ain't right ... it's the
pesky tail gap!! So I decided to crank out another gun to become extension
to the tail, filling the gap.
