Video Tutorial: Transformer Jazz (Cybertronian car) using LEGO Creator 31133: White Rabbit

This project almost got camcelled!!!

PROLOGUE

LEGO set 31133 was released in 2023. and I've built quite a lot of Transformers using the set. However, I only managed to build just one this year prior to Project Jazz

So recently I published one of my most epic LEGO alternate creation this year.... Badassatron Bumblebee (video below)

ABOUT THIS PROJECT

This project is my rendition of Cybertronian version of Jazz, a much loved G1 Transformers character. He'll fit right in within Transformers:One movie universe too!!!

Project Jazz was started weeks before project Badassatron Bee. While working on project Jazz where I managed to sculpt a pretty sleek vehicle front despite  having  limited parts from set 31133,  I was immediatelly fired up to start Project  Badassatron  Bee  that shared similar vehicle design.

\

This project was plagued with setbacks. In about one week, when I was almost done with the core design , I discovered that the robot mode is very fragile  and almost impossible  to pose .   So I kept pushing on to improve  it with limited success. After 2 weeks.. I decided to throw in the towel and set it aside. I even thought of  cancelling the project altogether!

And guess what....  just a day before I took these photos. I managed to perform a complete redesign. preserving his vehicle front/chest . Keep reading to find out what have been improved.

The main reason why I decided to salvage this project is because of the vehicle front design, which I think will be shameful if I ditch it  altogether.

From almost zero to hero!  This Jazz is now my officially favorite alternate creation built using LEGO set 31133!!!

With Badassatron Bee

TRANSFORM!

As you can see, the arms are formed from the side of the vehicle, while the legs forming  the top.  In the the   initial fragile design ..... the limbs switched roles . with the front wheels forming the feet instead (bad design choice leading to poor stability).

ROBOT MODE

Due to the placement of the front wheels, his shoulder articulation is slightly reduced.
